Hinze Literacy Consulting

Becky offers both half-day and full-day services, available either virtually or face-to-face, tailored to meet the specific needs of your school or district. During these sessions, Becky can provide professional development, meet with teacher teams to help them understand curriculum and standards, and assist in designing a literacy block that is informed by current data. She also guides educators in structuring differentiation time within their literacy block, creating WIN (What I Need) groups that align with student needs, and ensuring that interventions are matched appropriately to each student’s requirements. Additionally, Becky can assess whether the intensity of interventions is sufficient and listen to students read to determine the next steps for their literacy development. Her goal is to support educators in creating effective, data-driven literacy instruction that meets the diverse needs of all students.

 

Becky and Janelle are available to meet before and after school hours, and Becky is available during the school day to provide services. We are willing to meet virtually or in person with individuals or groups of educators.

Our comprehensive literacy consulting services are designed to elevate educational practices and improve student outcomes. We specialize in understanding and analyzing data to inform instruction, providing targeted support during data days, and delivering professional learning centered around the Science of Reading and Writing.

Our expertise includes coaching literacy coaches and teachers, engaging in literacy improvement conversations with administrators, and supporting the implementation of research-based curricula at all tiers of instruction. We are willing to conduct classroom observations alongside school teams to identify strengths and areas for growth, facilitate problem-solving for students with unfinished learning, and provide actionable feedback to educators. Additionally, we listen to students read, ensuring that their progress is closely monitored and that instruction is tailored to meet their individual needs.
