I am an experienced literacy consultant with a strong background in education and a passion for supporting both students and educators. I hold a Reading Specialist Endorsement and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Viterbo University, as well as a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from the University of South Dakota. Over the years, I have earned endorsements in special education, reading, including K-12 Reading Specialist.

I have served as a Literacy Consultant, where I develop and lead professional learning opportunities around curriculum, instruction, and assessment for school districts. I also teach courses on the Science of Reading and coach teachers on best literacy practices grounded in current data and research. My professional journey began with teaching roles in special education, gifted education, general education, and reading specialist, giving me a broad perspective on the diverse needs of students.

In addition to my consulting work, I have been involved in various professional activities, including serving as a Local LETRS Facilitator, designing Science of Reading courses, and contributing to the Iowa Statewide Literacy Team. My goal is to empower educators and parents with the knowledge and tools they need to foster literacy success in every student.
